The inner west is showing huge potential for investors as a wave of new commercial and residential developments and applications roll in.
From the Council owned Eco-Tourism Infrastructure for Mt Coot-tha, to the application for two new 12-storey residential towers located at 105-117 Jane Street, West End, and the next residential stage of Sekisui House’s West Village master-planned development in West End; there is no slowing down for this side of the city.
An updated development application could see a new entertainment and leisure precinct for Mt Ommaney, and Taringa could see a new 20-unit residential building located at 79 Swann Road. Also on Swann Road, Taringa, a development application has been submitted for a new residential development located at 7 Burns Street, Indooroopilly / 97 Swann Road, Taringa to be constructed in two stages, consisting of 35 units.
Plans have been unveiled for a new $175 million shopping, dining, office and residential precinct at West End. Montague Markets and Residences will be the latest addition to the master planned Riverside West End community.
Tricare has also proposed a new retirement and residential care facility in Taringa, the future of Grace on Coronation looks uncertain and King’s Row, Milton are set to open stage 3 & 4 of the project.
Around the Milton train station there are a mass variety of developments at different stages that will see thousands of new residential apartments within walking distance from the train link between Park Road and Cribb Street. This is just the beginning.
