An application has been lodged for a 10 storey commercial tower in Mt Gravatt. The development has been proposed by CEL Group and would be located 34 Mt Gravatt – Capalaba Road. The development is designed by Ellivo Architects and will be set on a 1,687m2 site. It includes two retail tenancies, commercial space, and recreational facilities on the rooftop.
A mixed-use dual-tower development is proposed for 1478 – 1484 Logan Road, Mount Gravatt. One of the towers will be for commercial office use and include its own entrance lobby and lift service. The adjoining tower will be purposed for residential use and will include 47 apartments.
Healthcare premises and a ground floor café and are also planned, with a public plaza thoroughfare. Retail tenancies will front onto Bothwell Street, and a 3-level basement will be positioned underneath the towers to house associated car parking with 134 parking bays. Road widening is also planned on the three site frontages.
A large number of apartment blocks have been approved for development in Upper Mt Gravatt, with dozens of eight and nine storey apartment blocks getting prepared for construction. Many are already under construction, with the suburb tipped to be the next big development area. An already flooded apartment market along with a low Australian dollar could mean trouble, however.
A range of 13-15 storey mixed-use buildings are proposed for the suburb at 28 MacGregor Street, 2140 Logan Road and 9 Tryon Street. Avion Residences at 7 – 15 Cremin Street will feature a sky bridge and an outdoor cinema between the two 15 storey towers next to the recently completed nine-storey Sky Residences. An eight-level mixed-use building is also approved for 12 – 20 Bothwell Street, 29 – 33 Lauder Street, Mt Gravatt.
