Major Deals At Christmas

According to reports this week, investors spent more than $2.7 billion on commercial real estate in the final two weeks of 2017, putting the sector on track to come close to matching the record $35 billion of deals achieved in 2014. Deals came in all forms, from retail and supermarkets, to industrial, hotels, land and office towers. The biggest deal in Brisbane saw investment giant Ascendas REIT, pay a total of $106.2 million for a fully occupied office building. The building is located at 108 Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley, and the deal reflected a yield of 6.1%.
