Asset Management Department Assistant 

We have a vacancy for a Department Assistant to provide accounting and administration support the Asset Management Team. If you enjoy working in a small team with a dynamic culture, performing a variety of challenging tasks then this is the role for you.

 Requirements

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • A mature friendly approach to duties with a client focus and sense of urgency
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A sense of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation
  • Year 12 with at least 2 years accounting experience
  • Advanced numeracy skills
  • CMS knowledge and experience an advantage
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills – typing speed of 70wpm

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurate data input of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Lease administration duties
  • Daily receipting and follow up of any associated issues
  • Daily inputting on invoices and weekly payment runs
  • Assist with outgoings, budgets and reconciliations
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly, weekly and as required reports
  • Bank reconciliation daily
  • Telephone duties and general administration duties as required
  • Participate and contribute to weekly activities including team meetings and knowledge updates
  • Be prepared to learn a variety of aspects of the Property Management business and support other team members

  • At least 5 years experience in Property Management  managing multiple properties
  • A Certificate of Registration or full Real Estate License and a QLD Driver's License 
  • Exposure to large landlords and/or tenants 
  • Microsoft office skills and  Internet based systems knowledge
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced role
